The Unknown

A howling of a wind, loud and clear it was heard, shouts of battle cry was heard everywhere. The shouts of the people crying out for peace and unity to end this dreadful and gloomy war. At that time, people hoped for light, but thick darkness covers it, hindering the light to be seen. In those days, wars continue to happen it was led by the stronger kingdom, the kingdom of Alesiter, ruled by king Gregor. All the least kingdoms are under him, especially one kingdom, the least of all the least is the kingdom ruled by princess Sylvana Montina, the kingdom called Valenciera. One day, when king George and his men came to that place, all the people cried out and said, “Sound the signal! They’re here to devour us again!” then the trumpet was sounded, immediately princess Sylvanna knew what the signal means, so she summoned the soldiers to stand the soldiers of king Gregor, she said, “My trusted and loyal soldiers, I know we are the least of all and that we cannot afford to knock them over, but I do believe when we become one we can surely defeat them.” then the soldiers shouted, “Aye! Aye! Aye!!!” with their swords raised up. Then the soldiers went on, and guarded the city wall, while the archers are on the above. Meanwhile, king George and his men broken the city gates and it’s walls, and he cried out by saying, “Kill those who are against us, do not show mercy nor spare their lives!” Then his men fought against the soldiers, and many were slayed. Then the remaining soldiers flee and the people hid themselves in their houses, but the men of king Gregor overtook them and killed all the soldiers. “Ha! Now what will you do to your people?” said king Gregor laughing loudly while stabbing the dead. “Let’s go to the palace.” Then his men went there. They marched while they blew the trumpets. Then the royal knight and the advisor saw them, and they ran to the princess. When they went and saw her, they said, “My princess, they are marching towards us! Their number is indeed many, too many to count.” Princess Sylvanna was greatly disturbed and was anxious. “The soldiers were slayed mercilessly.” Then they turned around and saw the captain, covered with blood. “Karlton!” said the knight. “I’m the only one who had escaped by their hands.” said Karlton. “Hang on, Karlton, you will not die.” said the knight. “No, I can’t make it.” then he breathed his last. “Karlton! Brother!” the knight cried out, and tears flowed out. Then the princess bowed down to the ground and said, “Alas, my people!” she cried bitterly. Then the knight came to her and said, “Don’t grant his request, your majesty, I beg you.” “I have no other choice but to do it. For the sake of my people, I will do it.” Then the knight cried, as well as the royal advisor. Then the door was broken through, and king Gregor and his men showed up and saw the princess together with the knight and the royal advisor. He said, “Now, what are you going to do? Judgment has decreed to your kingdom!” then he signaled his men to kill the royal advisor and princess Sylvanna shouted, “Noooo!” then the men stopped, and she said, “I’ll go with you.” Then the knight and the royal advisor begged her not to do so. King Gregor said, “Oh, have you changed your mind? Hahaha!” “Only let my people survived and do not lay a finger on them.” said the princess. “Very well!” So he signaled some of his men to get princess Sylvana, and she came with them. Then her hands were tied and were put in the carriage, guarded by king Gregor. Then they left immediately, and the people mourned for princess Sylvanna. While on their way, some of the men were slayed and some of the carriages were burned. At this, king Gregor took princess Sylvanna and went out to escape. “My king! We are being ambushed by the Slicynter!” said the man. “Cover me!” the king shouted, and at once his men came to him, but some of them were shot by the flaming arrows. So the king carried the princess, drawing his sword towards her. “Don’t! Or else she will die!” then the soldiers looked at each other and said, “Whatever you’re planning to do, don’t do it.” Then the king said, drop your swords!” so they did so. Then his men took the swords and beat the soldiers. Just then a vast army came to help and shot the men, even the king was wounded. Suddenly, princess Sylvanna bit his hand, and managed to escape. Then the soldiers came to her and the rest are in search for the king. “Are you alright?” asked the soldiers. “Yes, thank you for your help.” “We will take you to the Slicynter kingdom. Wait, are you a refugee who were led captive by them?” “Y-yes, indeed. I am a refugee.” replied the princess. So then, they went to the Slicynter together with the other refugees, and there the princess was surprised to see the kingdom, “Wow, it’s a magnificent kingdom. It’s my first time to set my foot here.” Then they were taken to a small village, there they were provided with foods, clothes, and other resources. The night came, and the princess went out to the village and went to see the castle. When she arrived, she saw a prince, tall and fair, then the prince saw her by a chance and asked, “Who are you? Are you a thief?” So the prince went to where she was standing, and said, “I’ll ask again, are you a thief?” “I-I am not a thief, your highness.” Then the prince gazed at her, he was captivated by her beauty and the princess, who noticed that he was staring, said, “Um… this place is so beautiful, indeed.” Then he said, “I can see you’re new here, are you perhaps a-?” when he was about to finish she immediately said, “A refugee, your highness.” Then the prince said, “Oh ah, my name’s Stenning Lockestern, and you?” “Ah… my name’s Sylvanna.” bowing her head. Just then a man came to them and said, “Stenning, who is she?” “Oh, this is Sylvanna. Sylvanna, he is my brother Klint.” “Nice to meet you." She replied. "Ah, are you a-“ he replied. “A refugee, your highness.” said princess Sylvanna. “Ah, really? It doesn’t look like you’re a refugee to me.” said prince Klint. Then Sylvanna’s heart pound, and her eyes widened. “You’re not a refugee?” asked prince Stenning. “Your name’s familiar to me,” said prince Klint. “Are you princess Sylvanna Montina of Valenciera?” he continued. Then Sylvanna denied and walked out, but her hand was gripped by prince Stenning and asked. “Are you the princess whom king Gregor attacked?” But she was speechless. “Answer me!” Then she nodded. “Let her rest first.” said Klint. “Tomorrow we’ll talk about it.” Then she was accompanied by Klint and take her to the room. Morning came, and the two princes take princess Sylvanna to the royal meeting room, there they discussed how to put an end to the kingdom of Gregor. Then princess Sylvanna stood up and said, “We can see his downfall only if the other kingdoms will unite with us, even his very own allied kingdoms.” Then the rest of the people who were there were pleased to her idea. Stenning asked, “How can we do it?” Then a smile crossed over to the face of Sylvanna. “In three months, we will ambush the kingdom of king Gregor. Since this kingdom is superior than all the other kingdoms, I’m sure they seek peace as well, and to the allied kingdoms of king Gregor, I’m sure as well they want also to be freed from his grip.” So they clapped their hands, and even Stenning was amazed, and he smiled to her. So they sent messengers to the kingdoms to tell them about the plan against king Gregor. When each of the messengers read the letter, the kings who have heard it were persuaded and pleased, so they wrote back a letter which said, “We are with you. We will do what you will say.” Then the princess Sylvanna, prince Klint and Stenning who read the letter smiled and said, “The downfall of king Gregor is near at hand!” Then the people raised their voices for things like this, when all the kingdom's unit has not yet happened, but to this very day it came like a miracle. When the said time has come, on the tenth day of the third month, king Gregor was at peace into his palace, he was served by the captives whom he had taken after Sylvanna has been rescued, and he drank wine. After a while, a messenger came and said, “Your highness, all the kings from the different kingdoms are coming over us!” Then he said, “Ah, maybe they want help to execute judgment against the kingdom of Slycinter. That great kingdom will soon fall by my hands, hahhaha!” while holding his cup. Then another messenger came and said, “Your highness, all the kings from the different kingdoms are outside, they even built siege ramps. They will pronounce judgment against us!” At this the king spit the wine, and throw the cup and said, “Have the trumpet sound now!” Then the soldiers, each holding swords and carrying shields, cried out, “Alas! We will fall for sure.” Then the king was enraged with them and stabbed the soldier who is in front of him, and he said, “This is what will happen to you!” Then the soldiers went out to the battle, then the allied kingdoms said, “Attack!!!” then each of the soldiers, drew their swords and fought each other. There was a loud cry and billows of smoke were seen. After the long battle, the soldiers under king Gregor surrendered, and they told where he was staying. So they joined forces, and went to the palace. When king Gregor saw that he was nowhere to go, he planned to escape them to the king's pool, but as soon as he went there, soldiers were there, and they captured him. They took him to prince Klint and Stenning, and they had him beaten. Afterwards, prince Klint drew his sword to him and said, “Your sins so many, too many to count, that’s why judgment has come to you.” As he was about to kill him, princess Sylvanna came and said, “I should be the one who should do it.” Then he gave his sword to her, and Sylvanna said to king Gregor, “For my people’s lives who risk their lives for the sake of my kingdom, I pronounce death to you.” Then he begged for her mercy, but it was no use, she said, “Your life I will take in exchange for my people whom you’ve slayed. Ah!” Then she stabbed him. After so many years, the darkness which covers thickly the world has now ended, and the bright light has shown and has come, shining its light.
