The guardians of the country

Dr anusha 1993 (Karnataka)

Peacefully resting in their abode,
Gets a call for  helping hand!
Departed from their home for the orders to abide,
Fearless souls were born in that land!

Horror nights in warzone seems endless..
Bravery of  soldiers is limitless
Physically and mentally wounded..
Still they stand undaunted!

They fight back standing together
Don't take a step back whatever be the weather..
The outrage within them, heats up their core..
To fulfill the oath, that they had once swore..

Even in the freezing cold..
Their devotion never grows old!
They smile to hide their pain..
Never let their strife go in vain..

It was a War for freedom...
To put an end to gruesome..
Releasing neighbouring country from slavery,
Indian army  put an end to their misery..

Courageously they marched ahead for the rescue mission,
To save their mother nation ..
The army represented our country as one..
Despite all hardships, the war was won!!
Finally after 13 days..
Indian military won it with ace..

Honoured they were with
Param vir chakra award..
Motherindia' flag  was seen flying high..
What more could be a better reward..

Day in and day out they guard our country..
To cease enemies' entry!
However difficult it seems still they try,
Though they know someday they might die..

In Warfield they finally become immortal...
Hence comes to  end, a soldier's life' hurdle..!!

Its a story of people born to serve..
Immense respect and honour they deserve..
It's been 50yrs since the indo -pak 1971 war...
We can still hear the victory roar!!
