Lilly

Still inside my Lilly vase
When traps are still at bay,
Though my Lilies never chose,
Troubles storm, and even
Lillie's go into graves.

When summer comes
Our shells extend
We flutter on about. In the
Middle, yanked apart,
Emerging fields of gold.

In seasons we hide,
Inside we work solo,
In vacuum and space-
To keep us moist,
Daily and so we toil.

Fields emerge from Lillie’s
Deep beyond grazing cattle
Fields, still, they open out in June
And stay until October's end, but once
a Lilly blooms, they too go into graves.

About this poem

Lilly is a poem about how all things toil and die. It's not meant to be sad, but rather embraces the process that things must go through and meet in the end. I hope you enjoy reading my entry and consider my work worthy of publication
