I Saw God Today

I saw God today, when I arrived at the parking lot and saw over 100 motorcycles gathered to honor a hero.
I saw God today, when we arrived at the church and saw hundreds of people lined up to show support for a grieving family.
I saw God today, when we were escorting the hero and his family, and saw the thousands of people standing on the sides of the road, with flags or their hands over their hearts and their heads uncovered.
I saw God today, when I saw two majestic birds flying with us down the highway doing their best to keep up with us.
I saw God today, when we arrived at the National Cemetery and saw hundreds of police, fire and all branches of the military at attention and saluting as we brought this hero in to his final resting place.
I saw God today, when the sight of more than a hundred large flags came into view as we approached the committal shelter.
I HEARD GOD TODAY, in the words of the Priest, the sound of Taps, and the exquisite sound of AMAZING GRACE played on Bagpipes.
I HEARD GOD TODAY, in the quietly called out THANK YOU from the grieving family as they departed for their quiet grief at home.
I SAW GOD TODAY.
I HEARD GOD TODAY.
I WAS IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD TODAY.
THANK YOU LORD, FOR YOUR PRESENCE AMOUNG US!!!!!
