Hanging In

Akosua Ella 2000 (Hohow)

I've been here hanging in waiting
Waiting for you to realise how much you mean to me
How much I adore you
I've been here hanging in waiting
Waiting for you to make up your mind
To ascertain if you want to go on this forever journey with me

But it looks like you can't even make up your mind.
How sad Cariño that you still don't believe
That our fairytale could have a happily ever after
I've waited for so long
Now my patience running out.

The clock's ticking
Time's rolling out
Can't wait forever
Wanna move on
But that soft spot won't let me
I wake up, I cry
I pray you realise
It's you I want
I wish we could happen
I wish our fantasy would flourish like in the fairytales

Wish I could be your princess and you be my knight in shining armour.
I've got wishes but common sense trynna tell me to let the f*ck go .
But that soft spot won't let me

About this poem

This poem is about an heartbroken lover. This lover pours out her innermost feelings to a supposedly undecisive partner. She strongly wishes they could be together but the partner seems unconcerned.
