An Icarus

They found his body,
high in the rafters.
The cops said he had gone into action,
after school.

Behind the bleachers.
away from the teachers,
his feet never touched the ground.

They tried not to cry,
but there are pins singeing the eyes,
of his non-blood brothers.

A memorial was held,
and everyone felt,
a presence from up high.

Most of them believe,
he grew some wings,
and learned how to fly.
