The Sensors Are Wrong

They keep picking up limestone
When I'm surrounded by gems.
I'm floating in space
And they tell me I'm facing north.
How do I get back to land?
I'm running out of oxygen
And I can barely see my spaceship.
The answer should be simple,
But I don't want to solve it.

God, I love space.
I love the peaceful nothingness
And the stars.
Why am I out here?
I should have a rope.
Did I forget,
Or did I leave it behind?

My sensors are wrong
And I think that it's my fault.
Because I took a hammer to them
And never bothered to fix it.
