Slowly losing you

Catrina Fuentes 1981 (United States)

I can see it so plainly,
written all over your face.
I’m slowly losing you,
to your final resting place.

Your smile has started to fade,
today it was almost gone.
The pain has taken over,
you seem to have withdrawn.

You woke up short of breath,
hurting in so much pain.
This disease is horrible,
and truly inhumane.

I wish I could cure you,
and rid you of this disease.
To watch you suffer,
brings me to my knees.

My world is on hold,
these last days are for you.
I promise to be there,
to help carry you through.

We can’t do it alone,
so we look up to him.
God is here with us,
and always has been.

I love you momma
