Peace was here

Free verse
The peace that I wanted
was with you today.
Your face was smiling
and no longer gray.
I know with this battle
there will be ups and downs.
but its nice to have a day
when there aren’t any frowns.
So rest up tonight
and dream yourself away
hope to see you tomorrow
and that it’s a great day.
