The Dichotomy of Life

Zealous Frank 2000 (Nigeria)

Even in its perfection and parity -
- the world is full of vanity
Life is opposed to a single meaning
And death takes randomly
For we are all in categories
The rich continuously seeking peace
The poor in constant denial of it
For who will say to the dead -
- there is a dip in the economy
And to the seriously ill -
- that there is profit in cryptocurrency
Appreciate the gift of life
Be grateful for every little thing
For we are all unworthy -
- but his grace keeps us happy and kicking.

About this poem

This poem explores the contrasting aspects of life, from the pursuit of wealth and peace to the randomness of death and the unmeasurable value of life itself. It underscores the importance of gratitude and the role of grace in maintaining happiness despite life's complexities.
