GOOSE ON THE LOOSE

The honk made me jump as I sideswiped a lump
that squished on the side of the walk.  "Dump
your garbage in the dumpster", I called to my neighbor.
it doesn't take that more work, time, or labor!"

Ned waved his finger at me as I kept on my walk.
I was not in a mood to stop, or visit and talk.
The goose had flown on and turned around.
He was headed back toward me close to the ground.

When almost in my face he banked right
and headed ahead to my delight.
With a swoop and swerve he aimed for Ned
and delivered a load to the top of his head.

With a double honk that sounded like laughter,
he U turned and now it was me he was after.
There was no place to hide and no time to think.
Gliding close to my head he delivered a wink!
