together they walk     alone I trot
together they talk alone I thought

together they laugh alone I cry
together they smile alone I sigh

together they carry alone I tote
together they marry alone I dote

together they sleep alone I dream
together they weep alone I scream

together they learn alone I vie
together they discern        alone I lie

together forever forever alone
never alone never together

About this poem

It was there today when I got out of bed, it just ejected from my head.
