To Know From The Gitgo

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

There is one urban expression.
Needing no definition to define its meaning.
The act itself is clear enough.
To know when one's mouth is kept closed,
This done to do more upsets...
Anyone seeking,
An argument to enjoy over a nothingness.

Undoing from the gitgo proves to show,
Whatever it is left to leave behind...
Is better left done to do.
Than to stay and argue,
Over a choice one has chosen to do.
Regardless who may believe,
This act is nothing more...
Than a selfishness expressed.

And perhaps it is.
When one's peace of mind becomes affected.
And kept protected without regrets.
Or words to hear explanations addressed.
Especially when another,
Seeks attention to get.
To expect it done to come.
Then made to wonder,
'Maybe this fool...
Is not the fool to choose chosen.'

Since...
Often it is the one,
Who has had enough nonsense to tolerate.
Until their patience suddenly vanishes.
As an ignorance awaits for it to happen.
Smiling as if to win a game played.
Although delayed begins to grin anyway.

However...
One who has grown tired,
Of the smell to know B.S. for what it is...
Is not about to stay to prove,
They have been blessed with patience.
And enduring faith.
Hoping God will forgive,
Being overcomed by a teasing temptation.
No.
Anyone who has experienced,
Mending to heal...
From self inflicting stupidity.
Remembers quickly to reminisce,
Consequences to pay...
Are seldom credited,
To a temporary and pointless...
Outburst of ignorant displayed self defense.
No.

One who knows,
Tests like this to have long gone to pass.
Leaves a message left.
Caring less,
If understood to understand or not.
To know,
What starts to end before it begins.
Is done immediately from the gitgo.
Play dumb.
Or whatever it takes.
To know peace of mind to achieve it,
Did not come by confronting...
Anyone finding,
An argument to start for them is fun.
Say nothing and leave with this to be done.
Period.

'Oh?
So you're trying to use,
Reverse psychology on me?
I know you hear me.
I SAID...I KNOW...
WELL,
I KNOW YOU HEAR ME.
HEY!
HEY!
YOU HEAR ME?
IT'S NOT WORKING.
HEY!?

And if you know,
From the gitgo.
Why stay?
Two fools,
Has never proven a genius made.
And if you know this to notice from the gitgo.
Don't even look back.
Only a mouse craving cheese,
Will do that to be trapped.

Why stay!?
Move.
Get away.
Move.
Why stay?
From the gitgo!
And...
Do this for your mind everytime.
And...
Do this for your mind,
Everytime!
From the gitgo.
