This war was more than Dirty

So brave and healthy, so distinguished you were
Right to the point with your words so pure
Always knowing what is right and wrong
Playing on a decision so cannily long

The decision this man made
To fight in this war was his own
Just a week from this day
His final word was sworn

He got a ride to the airport, with family and friends
Then off to Camp Pendelton, where his training began
After a short time, he was off to Nam
Where all was ready for gunshots and bombs

So many chemicals in this war with no cease
Just sticking to their bodies as their missions complete
Tired and worry these soldiers come home
Hoping for peace in their United states norm

Unfortunately, sickness invades their life
Agent Orange attacks from Vietnams device
Gathering these hero's one by one
Killing them abundantly, Gods daughters and sons

I often wonder what this world would be
with my wonderful soldier still here with me
Living a healthy and peaceful life
Forgetting about that old stressful life
