Pitiful me

Every morning I wake up
And see your face
Constantly reminded of my mistakes
I sometimes wish you weren't here
So I don't have to
Suffer the consequences

Living with you hasn't been easy
Working and schooling
Fending for you and me
Keeping you a secret from my parents
So I don't have to see the look of disappointment
On their faces

I was supposed to be pure
But I was blind
Blinded by my friends
And by material things
But as they say
Experience is the best teacher
