I Go in Soon

Russell Anderson 1962 (San Bernardino)

I go in soon
But I think I will “rest my eyes” for a few more minutes
At the risk of falling back to sleep

I go in soon
To the office-where people seem to like me
They say that they appreciate me

I go in soon
Then, I come back home
To Patti, and the dogs, and the teenage grandchildren

My Big Stressor?
Having to figure out which show to binge-watch next
Attempting to be more fit at 60 than I was at 50

Patti turns on the news
I see how it could be
Jeez…. I’ve got it made
