Just a moment to express gratitude
Thanks for a few fun nights of beverage brewed
Thanks for things I had yet to experience
Thanks for making me no longer delirious

I had fun, even so greatly brief
Out of my shell again, what relief
Stepping away from things of old
Trying new, venturing out, being bold

Toes in the water, swimming again
Moving along, not reveling in pain
Out of the zone and into the fire
Removed from safety, introvert's ire

Thanks for memories of many firsts
New places sampled and sated thirsts
Pinball was grand, cuisine delightful
A terrible Sunday, yet not spiteful

Moving along, sober mind now clear
Off to the future without cause to fear
Life is abundant, once again explorin'
I shall fondly remember our times
