I am the Master

I am the ruler, the master I would say
This winding road full of unknown
Yet I am writing lines to my own play
Writing scene to scene, day to day
I am the one who sits on the throne

I am my own strength, I am the power
My next step is what it needs to be
I continue to climb to the peak of my tower
Each moment will count, hour by hour
I breathe slowly and I trust in me

I listen to that voice, that voice is mine
Inching closer with each decision made
I continue to evolve and all will align
As this is what I am choosing, line by line
I am the master and am no longer afraid

About this poem

This poem was inspired by my spiritual journey and my realisation that we each have the power and ability to control our own life and destiny, by trusting our own intuition.

Writing to Breathe (Bianca Paravizzini)

I am a Melbourne-based mum of two and the girl holding the pen behind Writing to Breathe. I grew up with a passion to write and finally found courage to share my words with more eyes and ears than my own. I express what I feel through poetry, opinion pieces, short stories and creative writing. My main focuses are mental health, spirituality, parenthood and self-love. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy penning it. more…
