Unconditional

Unconditional love.

I’d heard this term so often.

I’d never really understood it.

Then you were born.

My understanding of it was born with you.

My love without strings attached.

My affection without limitation.

My love without condition.

You are my absolute no matter what.

My now until forever, and every minute in between.

There will never be a reason you can’t approach me.

No issue will go unresolved.

My love for you will never waver.

Your good times, hard times, your impossible times.

They will never be spent alone.

While I am here, you will never feel alone.

You my darling, are unconditional love.

About this poem

“Unconditional” is a very special poem to me, talking to the type of love born with your child, that you didn’t know could’ve existed previously.

Writing to Breathe (Bianca Paravizzini)

I am a Melbourne-based mum of two and the girl holding the pen behind Writing to Breathe. I grew up with a passion to write and finally found courage to share my words with more eyes and ears than my own. I express what I feel through poetry, opinion pieces, short stories and creative writing. My main focuses are mental health, spirituality, parenthood and self-love. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy penning it. more…
