Fractured Sky

Thunderheads lumber
Sense short hairs bristle
Leviathan’s drummer
Menacing hoofs ripple

Ponderous shadow rolls
Flashes purple and white
Fractured sky vivid coals
Vision’s imprint streaks bright

Explosion deafening
Mighty echoes’ salvo
Dodge grim reckoning
Escape options narrow



Scurry off naked peak
Shun each ridge and rise
Sage shelter to seek
Retreat from deadly skies

Run as a rabbit runs
Molecules crack apart
Aspect clear as woe comes
Roars herald havoc’s start

Pitched tent in hasty haven
Hail pummels outer walls
Bolts blitz crests and basins
Hunker down as bedlam falls
