EQUALITY
Being treated equally
And having the equal rights and ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of our gender, And being treated equally a human Not differently because one is LGBTQ or woman,
That’s what known as gender equality.
Question was asked why gender equality is important?
I said it’s a human right,
To make this society liveable, just not for man But for every gender as they like;
And it prevents violence against women and girls and genders who are scared and silent.
It provides sustainable development relies on ending discrimination towards women,
and provides equal opportunities for education and employment.
Next question was asked, do I think gender equality exists in my country and across the world
And I am silent...
Gender equality does not exist in my own home,
so how can I talk about the country and the whole world It’s not much, but there is discrimination between boy and girl,
Except a few, It’s the story of every home
Believe me or not, it’s a bitter truth of this world.
Next question was asked
because of my gender, have I ever felt like I could not do something I wanted to
Again I am silent .....
Because It’s still a dream of many girls
To walk freely across the street in a silent night.
Then last question was asked, how do I see this world for me,
This world is still suffocating for time being My hands are cuffed for not understanding this;
This is the world, country, home I live in
As I don’t have a place to go apart from the earth I just hope as time fades,
this world will treat everyone as a human,
Not differently cause one is LGBTQ or woman.
