Seed
You were sown in the bosom of mother earth,
Engulfed in stark darkness teeming with hope.
As the sun shines above, scorching the dirt,
You were undressed naked from your silver coat.
As the days went by, your waking seems so long,
But your fate’s determined, above them you’ll rise.
And you will stand before them brave and strong,
You’ll emerge as victor, make haste covet the prize.
From a miracle of miracles, you tenderly awake,
From the deepest of slumbers, you proudly rise.
With the first trickles of water your fragile roots take,
Will nourish you forever, such is nature’s ingenious device.
As you spread your wings, they’re your leaves,
To soar into the skies and reach the heavens.
Your tiny fingers, they’re your roots, try to cleave
The blackened soil that you’ll soon grasp and enliven.
While you’re making your way up in the cracks and crevices,
The whole world seem to choke and strangle you,
But this will make you more sturdy, this is my advice,
Worry not, for you’ll soon offshoot and grow.
The right moment has come for you to show your splendor.
Leave now your wrinkled coat as if in a frown.
For you will now show the world that with your courage and candor
You’re really the chosen one, the one to wear the crown.
You may be tiny...seed, but your dream will come true.
As long as you remain steadfast, you’ll grow as you must.
For it’s not only your will that will make you reach the sky, so blue.
But it’s also God’s will that will carry you through until you last.
