My God

Verlene Y Tyree 1963 (Chicago)

My God is so good!

It wasn’t understood, while living in the hood.

That he should be acknowledged in all my ways,
to prolong my days.

While here on earth, He who gave it birth.

I know today, He who guides my way,
encourages me to pray.

I must say,” I’m home to stay”.
In Jesus name I pray
