I’ve Fallen

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Your lying lips destroy your heart
They will take your breath away
And when you’re lying in the dust
You’ll have nothing more to say

All the souls that you have hurt
Will rejoice in your demise
And when you’re dead there will be light
Destroying all your lies

The light of life exists in truth
But you won’t walk that path
You’re always stumbling in the dark
Where will you end up at last?

Who knows?
