The Word of God

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

His heart was desperately wicked
He had the mind of a man
He could not find the way to town
Or to finish what he planned

He’s surely not the Son of God
Although that’s what he claimed
He killed as many as he could
And left the others lame

The bodies strewn along the road
Their blood fills up the gutter
The Lord will have the final word
That only he can utter!
