The Peepal tree

A peepal tree, standing upright several centuries
with its hanging roots.
As if a sage with matted hair,
Concentrating in religious austerities.

He is witness of many eventualities
which make him more solemn.
He is the evidence of metamorphical society
Which is manifested by philanthropists.

He knows the absolute truth
that life is ephemeral,
so he remains unperturbed
to see Nobel death.

You can hear secrecy
if you stand underneath of him.
He will whisper to you,
the causes of his celibacy.

He is witness of many ups and downs.
He knows 'Time' has absolute power,
everything changes in course of time
from smiling faces to frowns.

His mighty heart provides repose
to human beings, animals, insects.
Thus he spreads his boughs
to cast shadows.

He is conquerer of three times,
holding infinite tolerance,
so he is wise
resemblance of conscience.
