THE ENCOUNTER
Derrick E Carey 1981 (Sarasota)
It was during the
Lunar Eclipse when
The meteor shower
Began
It was also the time
Of the first sitting
The local television
Show recorded the
Entire thing
We all watched as the
Ships entered
The earth’s atmosphere
On the back of the
Meteor shower and land
In the middle of the Arizona
Dessert
Our military moved in
Quickly
Within hours a perimeter
Was set up on the battle field
And the people got their first look
At how big the massive ships where
Each ship was the size of at least a
Football stadium.
Military leaders were stomped
As they began plotting for the worse
But looking for solutions
And ways to make contact with
Our visitors as the world
Watched an finally came to the
Conclusion
That we are not alone in the
Universe.
The president was contacting
Other countries to keep
Everyone on the same page
In case the worse came to the worse
This was also the point in time
When we learned that we
Weren’t the only ones
Facing the visitors
It was a massive invasion of the
4th kind
The television stations where asking
The viewers to remain calm
As they began showing
Images of the visitors
Arriving all around the world
Our great leaders where
Trying
To find out if the
Visitors where hostile or friendly
The cities broke out in
Panic and riots
People raided
The grocery stores
Stocking up on
Everything they could
The 911 calls never stopped
Coming.
The military moved in the
Guns, and heavy artillery
The full works
They were really preparing
For the worse and dark
Was approaching
The military moved in large
Field lights and gave the public
Live video coverage of the
Entire event as they covered
An area that equaled to
Six football stadiums
There was still no
Movement from the visitors
Someone had to make the first
Move, but no one knew who
It was going to be as the police
Was working overtime
Just trying to keep to the
Citizens from killing each
Other
Reports where coming in
About how military ships
We’re moving into position
To meet the visitor in the
Open waters
This was the day everyone
Had always talked about
It had finally come
The military used the big
Stadium lights to flash code
At the large air crafts throughout
The night with no response or
Movement from our visitors
The earth had just stood still
As the first light of morning peaked
Its way over the horizon
The cities are in complete
Chaos, and a shot hasn't
Even been fired yet
And the government is
Ready to put our 2nd amendment
Rights into full action and real time
But no one knows what type of
Weapons we were going to
Face
It was only speculation that it might
Be ray guns or some type of
Energy blasters like in the movies
And then it happened..
The ships began to open up all
At once
And a large swarm of ships and ground
Troops launched their attack.
We were now in a fight for survival
We were not going down with out
A fight.
