That Act Comes After

The act of concern often comes after.
And seldom shown known before.
That empathy of humanity.
Expressing an humanitarian spirit.
Said to have but kept behind closed doors.

We the people,
Born and blessed.
To call ourselves human beings.
Blessed with intelligence.
And consciousness at times unseen.
Yet endeavored is that effort.
Whenever the time allows to prioritize,
Our intentions as best as we can.
After all we do have our separate obligations.
To do with a meaning most understand.

Faced today with the way things are.
Everyone is expected to qualify,
To dance in different directions at once.
With that to do to prove it takes a village.
Without words to hear.
But with the act of actions.
And a momentum that never fades.
Away from a village that may decade.

We the people,
Of a diverse growing village.
Should be never taking for granted,
The ability we have...
To create the most outrageous excuses.
24/7.
Each day of every stressful week.
With a receiving our blessing.
To digest, feel and know.
That a being held accountable,
For everything done we do...
To make moves that progresses us in steps, Forward.
Few would care less,
Little breath there is left to do anything else.

And then,
Come uninvited...
Adventurous escapades invaders.
Masquerading,
As thoughtful doers of wholesome goodwill.
Knowing nothing about the village.
Or the rhythmic reasons,
The people dance in different directions.
Believing them in need,
In social etiquette and life living advice.
Leaving the people of the village,
Accusing each other.
For attempting to change their way of life.
A way of life to look away from the facts!
Facts that come,
After their acts.
And seldom shown to be known condoned,
Before!

'What has happened to our village.
The advancements and progress made?'

'We believed we were moving forward.
But told,
Only in the past we stayed.
With a dancing in too many directions.
And not cementing each step we took,
Looking away.
While the village we allowed,
And watched decay.'

What should we do now?
Agree to dance one way together?'

'If that determines a doing of progress made,
Whose to say,
That's not the way to do it?'

'Maybe the ones who know,
More about social etiquette than we do.'
