A Fresh Of Breath Air

Not enough credit is given,
To today's children and young adults.
Choosing various fields of interest.
And doing their best to achieve success.
Through all the turmoil,
Conflicts and chaos.
Obsessing the minds of childish adults.
Focused and fixed on one's skin color.
And a power the absence of diversity has.
Thank God how fresh,
The contribution young people bring...
To the air we breathe.
A fresh of breath air is what we all need.
Especially these days.

'I agree.
But I think you mean,
Today's young people bring...
A breath of fresh air.'

'That's what I said.'

'No.
You said...
A fresh of breath air.'

'Meaning?'

'With a freshness is the breath of air,
We are blessed to live and breathe.
To not credit enough of it to the young.
And the young are the ones,
Contributing to this exuberant feeling!'

'It took me 5 words to say,
What it took you...
More time to explain,
How breathing fresh air affects life to live.'

'That may be true.
But I did it more effectively.'

'Breathing?
Or effectively being obnoxious?
Which?'

'That depends on my age!
And which age you think,
Contributes more...
To the freshness of the air you breathe.
Go ahead guess.
Guess how old I am!'

'God?
Please. Please God.
Keep me from responding.
I know I am being set up.
Help me ignore commenting.
Move my feet.
One foot at a time done to move forward.
And give me the strength,
To keep my mouth shut.
As if I had been born,
Without tongue or lips or ears to hear...
What comes out of the minds,
Of these young folks today!'

'You love it!
Just think...
If I had not corrected you,
Less fresh...
Would your breath be more breatheable,
To breathe.
Whatever time you have left to do it.'

'God?
With lips to pucker or bitten to bite.
Prevent one cuss word heard from me,
Ruin my peaceful night!'

'Ahhh...men, my brutha.
Kept faith is precious to keep that way.'

'Now...
Father?
Quicken the pace,
Of my forward steps made.
To appreciate this more as I age!
