Earth Day

I AM THE GRASS AND THE TREES THAT GROW UPON YOUR SKIN
YOU ARE THE BRANCH AND LIMBS THAT ENCIRCLE ME
I AM THE LAKES AND RIVERS THAT FLOW TO THE  SEAS
YOU ARE OCEANS OF TIME WAITING AGAIN TO BEGIN

I AM THE GRAINS OF SAND EQUAL TO THE STARS ABOVE
YOU ARE THE WHALE, THE DOLPHIN, THE SQUID, THE EEL
I AM THE HORSE, AND DOG, AND CAT, AND BIRD
YOU ARE THE HILLS AND MOUNTAINS AND VALLEY BELOW

YOU ARE THE WOMAN WHO GIVES LIFE TO ALL
I AM THE MAN WHO SHARES YOUR HOME
YOU ARE ALL THAT CAN EVER BE
I AM EARTH AND TOGETHER WE ARE FREE.
