Snowflake

Freezing, numbing, piercing, and stinging frost
Burning, shocking, bitter, and frigid cold
Unique exhilaration at what cost
Elation caused by snow; ice crystals rolled

Abstract presentations, distinct design
Hexagonal and hundreds of crystals
None identical, snowflakes, how divine
Active reminder of flowers pistils

Take a journey through the Earth's atmosphere
Floating and gliding so gracefully down
They're less frequent as we progress I fear
The elegance of snow starts to breakdown

Supposedly white but truthfully clear
So alluring, yet the frost is a jeer
