Math

I plead with you math, just leave us alone.
What did we humans ever do to you?
I can’t solve your problems, I have my own.
I can find the answer to two plus two.

Its math! Numbers and letters do not mix!
Your Xs and Ys can stay variables.
These problems I’ll leave to the geeks to fix,
So we aren’t stuck here ‘til we are old.

But you tell me “there are uses outside!”,
“Everywhere there, outside in the real world,”
And from the real world I just cannot hide,
So here I will stay. Away from math curled.

Through all of the trouble and mental strain,
I realize that math will not help my pain.
