Coronavirus

Free verse
It started as a tasty meal
Not cow or pork, but bat
Then a cough, not great to feel
But it got much worse than that
The world shut down, it seemed surreal
All just because of a bat.
The lockdown made things pretty rough
And then, the dreaded mask
For businesses it was really tough
Avoiding bankruptcy, a difficult task
And 2 years after all of this stuff
We still frequently see masks.
