Lovely Little Memory

I wonder what life will make of us
Sitting in that little dingy corner
Playing with pretty point filled phrases
As our sleep heads a wander

Alternating words and yawns
As we almost fall asleep
Wondering what the world will make
Of simply you and me
Wondering if our souls can take
The day that I have to leave
Wondering if my hands will shake
When I let go of what I see
But
You will still be pretty
In my lovely little memory
Pointless pieces that we'd talk
