Childhood Craniotomy

I remember wanting
A Mother or a Dad
I thought
Why did they leave
Was I being all that bad?

Or maybe if I had played
And laughed instead of crying
They
They’d kiss me on the forehead
And love instead of lying

My Father was a cheater
He didn't want me born
And my Mother wasn't there
Because she loved drugs
So much more

And my Dad he is insane
From all the muscles that he built
I might now have my people
But there are still blood stains on my quilt
