Rainy Days

Clattering raindrops on rooftops
In June, the rain never stops
Missing the sun and its shine,
Its warm feeling, lovely and divine.
Replaced by grey skies and raindrops
Take out the bucket and mops
Mornings, the yards covered in dewdrops
A day spent inside, scrolling online

My weeping windows,  beautiful backdrops
Rain, accumulating the sky’s teardrops
Grey cloudy sky, part of God’s design
This feeling, I will never confine
Watching the clouds hover over the treetops
