Come Out and Play

You’re walking too close to the edge
Surprised to see the fall
The leaves are changing colors
So, you better take this call

Important business meetings
Sometimes start with just a word
You have to read the bible
Put in practice what you heard

Wait for God to come to you
And he’ll show you his ways
He’ll teach you how to walk in them
And bless you here today

He brought you out of slavery
But not to build a wall
He took the shackles off your wrists
So, you could make a call

Now call out to your Father
He will answer you this time
“Humpty get down off that wall!
Who taught you how to climb?”

Who told you, you were naked?
As you stood there in the garden
It only took one bite to see
Your hearts would start to harden

You should not build a wall
When I say: “Do not be afraid”
I threw the door wide open
But you won’t come out to play

The sun is shining on the swings
The see-saws all are rocking
The playground filling up with kids
Put on your shoes and stockings
