DARK STREETS

Terror stalks the dark streets
Shambling down unlit alleyways,
Lurching after unwary souls
Beneath the blood moon's rays.

Evil rules a lonely town by night
Foul beings hunt the thoroughfares,
Burrowers scurry underground
Pterosaurs gliding through the air.

Witches and even fallen priest
Give worship to everything evil,
Carousing around a bloody altar
Attempting to conjure the devil.

Whirling dervishes swirl around
As Manticores take off to flight,
Fear and trembling do abound
As death is stalking in this night.

Hopelessness is now prevalent
Panic fills the frightened populace,
All now hiding grimly locked inside
Intending to escape this awful place.

Terror stalks the dark streets
Within a town named Sorrow,
Hiding, shivering in the darkness
Hoping to make off on the morrow.

Centaurs and deadly phoenixes fly
Above a terrified, darkened town,
Where desperation is growing wild
And misery and hopelessness abound.
