We sank.
So deep.
Into an ocean,
of broken promises.
You swam to shore.
I stayed in the water.
I drowned.
You got help.
For who?
Yourself.
I remained under for so long.
Until a boat finally came.
And on that boat was them.
The people who saved me,
and called me their own.
They gave me love and support.
They got me to shore.
Where I see you.
Living a better life.
You seem happy.
And finally, I am too.
