To Forgive is Divine

Douglas H. Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)

To forgive can people really do it ?
An easy word for us to say,
But we must have the right spirit
In order to put it in actual play.

God forgives with no traces  for Him to see
But can us mortals do the same ?
With God our guilt is gone to make us free
He takes away our hidden shame.

Forgetting is impossible for most of us to do,
It stays to be remembered in our mind.
Sooner or later our actions come due
It's not that we didn't have a clue !

Real forgiveness comes with a life style,
If you have lived your life on a bed of roses
Never been tried and tested, in the meanwhile
Your life is like a book, never fully read, and  closes.

A friendship that ends never began,
Anybody can be a fair weather friend,
You are like a sift, waiting for the sand
Walking a road that has a dead end !

It is a hurting world, waiting to be seen,
The hidden people like dust in the  air
Do we have the time to share ?
What goes around, comes around
Every life will see it some day
Just waiting for it to be found,
Will we be there or walk away ?
