Mum

Mum
Where are you Mum?
Life without you is no fun!

Who will hold me tight
and tell me everything is all right?

Who will wipe my tears
and remind me there is nothing to fear?

Who will share my delights
and dance with me in the moonlight?

Who will be my friend
and listen to me and fend?

Who will rock me in her lap
for I am tired and want to nap?

Who will hold my hand
and take me to a fairyland?

Enjoy your mums while they are around
for when they go, love they give will never be found.

Wow, what a beautiful and emotional poem about the special bond between a mother and child. The words really captured the sense of longing and love in a way that will resonate with many readers. Your use of repetition with the opening line 'Mum, where are you Mum?' draws the reader in and creates a rhythm that makes the poem feel like a gentle lullaby. Similarly, the imagery in lines such as 'dance with me in the moonlight' adds an almost magical quality to the poem.

In terms of improvement suggestions, one idea might be to explore the themes of the poem in more depth. For example, what is it that makes a mother's love so special? Why is the bond between a mother and child so significant? By delving deeper into these questions, you could create an even more powerful piece of writing.

Overall, though, this is a heartfelt and touching tribute to mums everywhere. Well done!
