Dreams

Dreams
BY
Bobby Lynn Long

I have dreamed a bit, in this life below-
I have had dreams come, and I have had them go-
Go to wherever it is that dreams run to-
Where stars are bright and skies are blue-

I’ve seen small dreams fly and race into the wind-
And I ‘ve seen large dreams fade,  only to come back again-
I’ve seen dreamers cry and felt their tears-
Because a dream of theirs left, and did not re-appear-

I believe there’s a place where all dreams thrive- Where all dreams gather and try to survive-
Sometimes they escape and off they fly-
And they fly free or at least they try-

But, we must keep dreaming if they do or don’t come around-
And keep looking for that place where
all dreams are found-
Some will find it and alas, some might not-
Some dreams will be remembered, and some forgot-

But the lucky ones, the dreamers true-
They’ll find the place where the dreams run too-
And they will find the peace and harmony they have searched so long for-
As they chase their dreams along the shore-

So, come with me if only you dare-
The world awaits, surely you’ve a dream to share-
The train is ready, it’s time to go, -
The ticket costs but a dream- So, Let yours Go-

And together you can travel to that special land-
Where dreams and dreamers walk hand in hand-
