Choices

Choices
by Bobby Lynn Long

As we move thru this life‐ We often hear others say‐ "Hello', how are you, and ‐ Have yourself a
great day”‐

Most don't seem to understand‐
It's not what happens that makes the day‐ It's really what you think about it‐ And what you do and say‐

Some will choose to be cynical‐ And doubt when they don't agree‐
Ghosts don't exist, dreams don't come true‐ It's not real if they can't see‐

But if you "choose" to have a great day‐ And smile at those you meet‐
And dream your dreams and chase your rainbows‐ Then the world is at your feet‐

If you choose to speak to strangers
And say hello, and let a smile light up your face‐
To them, that might be a dream come true‐
To others it might be fate‐

If you choose to enjoy those around you‐ And you choose to say i love you‐
And understand that life is choices‐ And there's nothing you cannot do‐

So for you i wish you make the choice‐
To live your life the way you please‐
And see there is so much to smile about‐
The ones you love, the sun above and the summer's gentle breeze‐
