lost soul
Lost soul
I have so many times fallen flat on my face,
Trying to run a race, my life is such a disgrace
Face covered in a masquerade of injustice
I now become the avatar of spiritual influence.
The pains of growing up were self inflicted pain .
But now I, resolute in my decisions have proven to be so committed
Committed to what I ask, as crime is all that in my life I had admitted,
As I look back on the sins I've committed,
The path I take displays all the errors now evicted.
From youth the truth was snatched away from me by bad decisions
I'm not one to equivocate, see I have learnt my lessons from false ambitions
Too much pride derived from inner foolishness
I was never indigent although destitute in moral goodness.
Absence of the good can leave the world in a chaotic state
Although few, the good will help in making the world rotate,
Around the selfish who selfishly believe in no one but themselves
And we wonder why some contrive in affiliation of self indulgence.
But now I, resolute in my decisions have proven to be so committed
Committed to what I ask, as crime is all that in my life I had admitted,
As I look back on the sins I've committed,
The path I take displays all the errors now evicted.
Eviction of the ugliness, my mind awoke and dispelled
Qualities I once thought immutable
Am I a good man? I try but circumstances can generate,
Old bad habits, but NO, I refuse to procreate,
Unfruitful thoughts which once took our innocence,
I continue to search in my quest for repentance.
Goodness within my own heart,
To sustain greatness for when this world I depart.
And now I, resolute in my decisions have proven to be so committed
Committed to what I ask, as crime is all that in my life I had admitted,
As I look back on the sins I've committed,
The path I take displays all the errors now evicted.
Yes, the pains of growing up were self-inflicted,
I have cried and tried to nourish my soul with food for thoughts,
I have eaten plenty and have earned the right to be called good…
But as I look around me, I still witness the absence of the good.
Goodness within my own heart,
To sustain greatness for when this world I depart.
