5/12/1996(Zambian) Owen hamalala is a Zambian poet and activist from ndola Hamalala`s work focuses on issues of oppression, feminism, race, and rape as well as the African diaspora. Hamalala is the first poet in the church group to be nominated in the Lusaka youth poetry competition “the pain of the world" was recited at the church festival 2020
