Joy in Sorrow

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Struck in the front and stabbed in the back
Pinned in the chair but there’s nothing I lack
To walk with the LORD and have not a care
I’ll stay where I am because he put me there

He always knows best; he shows us the way
He loves us and cares for us everyday
You can’t be to sad when you know God is with you
You don’t have to run if you deal with your issues

You still have a home but you live in a tent
Your wife isn’t happy, but still pays the rent
She would do anything to get rid of your ass
But she doesn’t pray; it’s only a fast
