Paved in Sacrifice.

I waited for you everyday to have your gaze smother my sight.
Knowingly I pretended not to care, resonating memories I have that we used to share.
More and more we faded together into nothingness, only difference is you started to care less.
Having left me alone while I shiver, nights pass where I felt like drowning in still river.
At first sight you robbed my heart, never realised ; for you I’d be trapped in  mental prison from when my suffering would start.

A source of my pain, addicted to your name.
You promised to stay, though for you I did pray.
A labyrinth of hell, your pheromones ? Never could I resist your nectary smell.
Thousand acres of emotional wreckage, just for you I kept breaking myself at every stage.
Darkness consumed me knowing I was a perpetrator,
Eventually I found out you were just a traitor.

Suffocating my reality, every night I felt immensely guilty.
Demons wrote their sonnets and Hell became absolute,
I didn’t wish to live because the pain, it was so acute.
Never did you love me, nor could you sustain.
Took away my breathe, whatever I sacrificed went into vain.
Calamity strikes I disintegrate into brokenness,
It was time for me to leave when I felt nothing but less.
