Jenny, Jenny

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Stick to the truth and tell her no lies
Continue to love her till the day you die
When all else fails and nothing works
When calamity waits and danger lurks

When destruction stands outside your door
Then just lay down you little whore
Enjoy the pleasures of the earth
And find out what True Love is worth

He won’t leave you out on the street
Just like a jenny in her heat
The preacher might be liked by some
But Jenny gets filled up; so, come

And don’t forget! Be home by dark
