Truth in Love

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Sometimes I need to hear from You
And nothing else on earth will do
Lord, make the world go away
So I will not be led astray
Destroy the works of poison tongues
And rip the air out of their lungs
Their lies uproot the weak and poor
And all their words I do abhor
Lord, when You look at me today
I hope You’ll smile and this I pray:
Our testimony will not fail
And all of those who are in jail
Will have their bonds and chains be broken
By all the words that You have spoken!
