The Storm has Passed

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Now the rain has stopped and
I can see that there’s no sea.
The rule of sin is finished;
It cannot reign over me.
Earth and sky just fled away;
No place could be found for them.
My transgression had destroyed his life,
But Jesus Christ restored him.
High and lifted up He will
Forever be before me.
Even in my fear and doubt
He comes to reassure me.
Now dressed in white and beautiful,
She stands before her husband.
The bride of Christ, she’s Jesus’ love
And God Almighty’s best friend.
